Meet Krystina

Krystina grew up on the west coast of Canada, under the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. Descended from Tsarist officer and Olympic wrestling stock, singing was her first passion (Diana Krall), and she got her start performing in musical theatre. Shakespeare was a natural progression, which led to her acceptance at the National Theatre School of Canada. While there, she trained in classical text, breath work, and creation-based Grotowski physical theatre (among other things).

She has appeared onscreen on CBC, the CW, and Netflix in shows such as Moira Walley-Beckett’s Anne with an E, as well as award-winning short films. She’s performed the classics on stages across the country; some highlights include tackling Iago in Othello, as well as a contemporary queer Juliet.

Having trained as an actor with Patsy Rodenburg (OBE), she is now also an accredited Patsy Rodenburg Associate, coaching others to reclaim their natural presence and power.

A few years ago, she lived through profound grief; it became clear to her that people are the point. She is here to make art about the radical compassion – rare, extraordinary, and transformative – that is possible.

Outside of acting, Krystina loves to kayak and dirty every pan in the kitchen; she also has her firearms license. She believes in pleasure, mischief, and adding a little bit of lemon to everything.
