Meet Krystina

Krystina grew up on the west coast of Canada, under the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. Descended from Russian/Ukrainians, and Olympic wrestling stock, singing was her first passion (Diana Krall), and she got her start performing in musical theatre. Shakespeare was a natural progression, which led to her acceptance at the National Theatre School of Canada. While there, she trained in classical text, breath work, and creation-based Grotowski physical theatre (among other things).

She has appeared onscreen on CBC, the CW, and Netflix in shows such as Moira Walley-Beckett’s Anne with an E, as well as award-winning short films. She’s performed the classics on stages across the country; some highlights include tackling Iago in Othello, as well as a contemporary queer Juliet.

Having trained as an actor with Patsy Rodenburg (OBE), she is now also an accredited Patsy Rodenburg Associate, coaching others to reclaim their natural presence and power.

A few years ago, she lived through profound grief; it became clear to her that people are the point. She is here to make art about the radical compassion – rare, extraordinary, and transformative – that is possible.

Outside of acting, Krystina loves to kayak and dirty every pan in the kitchen; she also has her firearms license. She believes in pleasure, mischief, and adding a little bit of lemon to everything.
